Frank was one of the last of the great religious visionary apocalyptic painters. He saw his 1960’s paintings of catastrophe in Manhattan come true... Reclusive from the art world and refusing to sell his work (his “visuals” were not commodities), he wasn’t nearly as widely known as he could have been.
